BIKE BAG |
Thomson is a fancy bike component brand that packages their pieces in synthetic canvas bags. Charles has collected several over the years (some of which had gotten dirty over time) and we turned them into a custom frame bag for his bike. The velcro straps were also found items. We purchased only a zipper and interfacing to reinforce the material. We collaborated on concept, design, and prep. I patterned and assembled it. Note the attachment webbing also made from spare bags. Thank you to Jared Harber for the first two photos.

METAL |
I completed a two week metals workshop at the Penland School of Crafts in summer 2014. It focused on rings. I only made a few because I'm a compulsive perfectionist.

CLAY |
I completed a clay handbuilding workshop at the Cary Arts Center. I was a big fan of the extruder and barely used anything else.

CLOTHING |
I've been sewing since age 9. Everything I've learned since a kid's beginners class is self-taught or learned from my mom and grandmother. I specialize in alterations and upcycling.

HATS |
I started working at a hat shop in May 2015. We had a custom and repair shop and an in-house milliner, who taught me some of his ways. These are some factory-made hats that I customized.

FLOWER CROWNS |
Spring 2013, I challenged myself to make something every day for a month. One day I made a flower crown, and I ended up making and selling dozens of these.
